Mark your calendar for the first edition of the Latin American and Caribbean Soil Carbon Research Symposium (LAC Soil Carbon)!
Hosted at the Museum of Tomorrow, this international event aims to promote the importance of sustainable agricultural production for socioeconomic development and food security at both regional and global levels.
Organised by the Soil Carbon International Research Consortium (IRC) and the international “4 per 1000” Initiative, the Symposium will focus on organic carbon in soil, an essential resource for agricultural production.
Over four days, researchers, students and experts will gather to exchange ideas and discuss regional and global challenges in promoting sustainable agricultural practices and preserving soil health.
Key deadlines
- Symposium registration and abstract submissions open: 15 December 2024 (250 places available)
- Field day registration opens: 15 April 2025 (100 places available, only for registered participants of the Symposium)
- Abstract submission deadline: 15 March 2025 (acceptance will be conditioned to the evaluation of the Scientific Committee and payment of the registration fee)
- Abstract acceptance confirmation: 15 April 2025 (the presentation of the abstract at the Symposium will be conditioned to the payment of the registration fee by at least one author)
- All registrations close: 15 May 2025
- Deadline for cancellation: 15 May 2025
- Symposium: 25-27 June 2025
- Field day: 28 June 2025
Submission of abstracts is entirely voluntary but is conditioned to the payment of the registration fee. Each registration gives right to submit one abstract.
