Webinar on MRV systems

Save the date for the ORCaSa webinar dedicated to MRV (Monitoring, Reporting & Verification) systems for soil organic carbon (SOC)!

Soil carbon experts and stakeholders will have the chance to bring and share their views and inputs on the current methodologies, the one proposed by ORCaSa partners, and the MRV initiatives to map. Their participation will help to:

  • provide an update of the latest developments and knowledge on MRV systems for SOC
  • propose and build a prototype MRV system for agricultural soils and explore options for forest and wetland soils

After a brief introduction of the ORCaSa’s project and its main objectives, participants will get an overview of the current and proposed MRV scheme, the building blocks or components, and the international review of current MRV initiatives for SOC stock changes assessment and associated methodologies carried out by the ORCaSa partners.
